New Analysis supports claims of media bias against the Vermont Senator during his 2020 Presidential Run.

In Noam Chomsky’s Book Manufacturing Consent the author discusses how the concentration of media ownership can narrow or exclude any rational discussion about economic policies. Chomsky in his book says “Large corporate advertisers…will rarely sponsor programs that engage in serious criticisms of corporate activities, such as the problem of environmental degradation, the workings of the military-industrial complex, or corporate support of and benefits from Third World tyrannies (Chomsky, 1992).” …

Worse than Trump supporters

The KHive, short for followers of the Kamala Harris, are as toxic if not worse than Trump supporters. While many in the media focused obsessively about the Bernie Bros, a Harvard graduate discovered only two percent fell under that category. The same percentage was prevalent for Biden, Warren, Yang, Buttigeig, and other candidates supporters. The one group that was never analyzed were supporters of Kamala Harris.

As former Presidential Candidate Marianne Williamson and Congressman Ro Khanna experienced, they have a particularly nasty sting. They’re pattern is this. Post something negative about Sanders or his supporters (comparing…

15% of Clinton supporters voted for McCain in 2008, just 6% of Sanders voters backed Trump in 2016.

Only 6% of Sanders primary voters backed Trump, far less than 15% of 2008 Clinton primary voters backed McCain.

[Disclosure: I caucused for Hillary Clinton in the 2008 Presidential Primary]

One of the underlying criticisms made by die-hard Clinton fans (which I once was) and many in the news media is that too many supporters of Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders voted for Donald Trump. As the argument went his group of supporters were automatically supposed to vote for the Democratic candidate and Jill Stein supporters and somehow half of right-leaning Libertarian Gary Johnson voters. …

Senator Sanders is talking to Republican voters in Iowa and Indiana. Good.

It’s no secret that I was one of his biggest supporters of the 2020 primary campaign. One of the things that attracted me to him was that he spoke from the heart and talked about policies, and talk to people regardless of political affiliation with respect and honesty. That authenticity is something that is lacking among mainstream Democrats, and that appeals to not just independents but Republicans.

One of my Republican coworkers ended up supporting him in his previous run. He disagreed with him on social issues, but…

Everyone will find that special someone, even in unexpected places

Photo by Victoria Roman on Unsplash

It was the middle of July on a hot summer afternoon in Seattle. I checked my appearance in the driver’s seat of my car, making sure my shirt was buttoned up before opening the door and getting outside. I was preparing myself to meet a woman who I’d only talked with online for the last three weeks. This would be the first time we met in person and I had no idea if we’d hit it off.

Then, I saw her. She was a young woman close to my age…

ProPublica Story reveals details on how Bezos, Musk, Buffet, Bloomberg paid virtually nothing.

The United States promotes itself as a full functioning democracy that believes in fairness, equal opportunity, and justice for all. However, when you see how the interests and desires of the bottom 90% have no influence in our political system, this country, one of the wealthiest in the world, functions more like an oligarchy. According to information leaked from the IRS to ProPublica, the wealthiest individuals are laughing all the way to the bank as you pay a higher tax rate than them.

ProPublica looked at the

“This is an existential threat”

Megafires from Seattle to Los Angeles choke the San Francisco skyline with an eerie orange glow. Wired

In 2015, five Democratic presidential candidates were asked about national security. Many gave vague standard bull shit answers about foreign policy, except one person. Climate change is an existential threat the 74 year old Democratic socialist from Vermont said to thunderous applause at the debate. “The scientific community is telling us that if we do not address the global crisis of climate change, transform our energy system away from fossil fuels…the planet we are going to be leaving our kids and grandkids may not be habitable.” Five years later Sanders was again sounding the alarm…

Biden imposed work requirements to unemployment insurance

With 18 million more Americans on unemployment insurance than last year, you’d think the White House would have their back. Instead Joe Biden said “go back to your low wage job or else". Agreeing with Mitch McConnell that unemployment insurance leads to welfare queens. The Biden administration seems stuck in the 1990s ideology where welfare queens are real (like the tooth fairy), people hate government programs, Wall Street is popular, and Democrats have no real leverage. In reality they do, they just don’t want to use it.

With full control of the government…

Why National Nurses United, Doctors, and local Health Officials are Right That It’s Too Early to End Mask Mandate

Concerned about lack of enforcement and guidelines has thrown a wrench into general acceptance that masks mitigate risks from COVID. Last week the Center’s for Disease Control made a 180 degree turn on mask mandates for those who have been vaccinated drawing criticism from doctors and nurses. …
