Ginni Thomas had ties to far-right groups that led to insurrection at the Capitol last year. She provided transport, spread lies, and encouraged attacks on January 6th.

A new damning report revealed that Ginni Thomas, the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas was directly involved in the violent insurrection at the United States Capitol. According to the New York Times Thomas’s wife sat on the board of a Turning Points USA, a conservative group, which sponsored events and provided buses for rallygoers on January 6th. And it gets even worse for Ginni Thomas who also served on the board of the Council for National Policy part of CNP Action a right-wing group which circulated a memo titled “Election Results and Legal Battles: What Now?” Furthermore, she was friends with John Eastman a famous lawyer that openly called to overturn the election results interfering with the peaceful transfer of power.

“Thomas is also connected to people who sought to undo the 2020 election results. John Eastman, the lawyer who wrote a memo — without any evidence — on how Vice President Mike Pence could overturn the election results, previously clerked for Clarence Thomas at the Supreme Court, and is a close friend to the couple, per The Times.”

The memo itself was passed to Republican state lawmakers openly calling them to open challenge the 2020 election results under the guise of “irregularities” based on made up horse shit. The report that they crafted that month openly called for direct challenges in at least five states where Trump attempted to overturn the election results including Georgia, Arizona, and Wisconsin. Luckily the overturning of the election results was unsuccessful, but this should call into question the treasonous nature of Ginni Thomas. The late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg always recused herself when she or her husband had conflicts of interest, Ginni Thomas never has and it’s unacceptable that she was involved in 21st century fascism in the United States.

And this looks even worse for Justice Clarence Thomas who should never have been seated on the Supreme Court. He stopped the recount in Florida in the 2000 election, sexually assaulted Anita Hill, ruled that money equaled free speech under Citizens United, ruled that section five of the voting rights act was not needed anymore, and has a wife that openly contributed to the attempted coup in January 2021. Any Justice that has a conflict of interest or a spouse that openly advocates for fascism and cheers on violence and authoritarianism as a means of getting what they want should step down from the high court. Or be called to testify before Congress under oath and release all internal documents related to their plan to overturn who the voters chose as their next President. This is a democracy and treason should never be tolerated or overlooked

There are now nearly one thousand people who have been arrested for breaking into the capitol and interfering with our democratic process. Ginni Thomas should be no exception. She directly contributed to undermining our democratic process, promoted bizarre conspiracy theories, called Anita Hill in a drunken stupor demanding she apologize to her, and now has committed treason against the United States of America. There needs to be an investigation into Ginni Thomas and what she did leading up to trying to overturn the election results. Because if this is overlooked then it will likely happen again and further erode whatever trust we have left in the highest court in the land.

Testify before Congress under oath or have Justice Clarence Thomas resign.

“LOVE MAGA people!!!! GOD BLESS EACH OF YOU STANDING UP or PRAYING!” — Ginni Thomas minutes before the mob stormed the Capitol on January 6th.
