The Unconventional Ticket Taking America by Storm

In an election season between Harris and Trump, an unlikely independent ticket may be on track to win. Deadpool and Wolverine, an unlikely duo, are running with a campaign that has been as authentic as it was entertaining. With Deadpool’s signature humor and Wolverine’s no-nonsense attitude, they’re redefining what it means to run for office in America.

Deadpool, in a suit less colorful than his usual attire, crafted a platform that’s equal parts absurdity and genuine reform. The campaign slogan, “Let’s Make America Wild Again!” has quickly gained traction among voters tired of traditional politics. His policies include Taco Tuesday, a national holiday dedicated to chimichangas, and an overhaul of healthcare that would include free healing factor consultations from community health centers.

Deadpool’s charisma, combined with his willingness to break the fourth wall, allows him to connect with voters in a way politicians can only dream of. Wolverine provides a grounding influence on the campaign and has attracted appeal from all age groups, particularly men. While Deadpool spins tales of his antics, Wolverine delivers blunt reminders of responsibility and integrity — although he often doesn’t smile. “With my claws I’ll cut through the status quo bullshit if elected” he said at a campaign stop. Wolverine’s gruff demeanor contrasts sharply with Deadpool’s exuberance, creating a dynamism that has entertained and intrigued voters. Their policies focus on affordable healthcare, childcare coverage, and protecting Canada at all costs.

The campaign trail has been nothing short of a unconventional. Events feature Deadpool’s outrageous stunts, from juggling knives to spontaneous dance-offs with fans. In contrast Wolverine tends to hang back, silently brooding and occasionally growls and reacts to hecklers. Last week at an event in Colorado Springs his speech was interrupted whilst he was talking about lowering taxes and expanding childcare. An angry looking Wolverine extended his claws after several boos from a group of Trump supporters, walked over, and cut their heads off. The crowd erupted in cheers. “I can’t stand election deniers.”

Reaction from Harris officials, Trump

Political analysts are left scratching their heads. “This is unprecedented,” said James Carville a Democratic strategist campaigning for Harris-Walz during an MSNBC interview. “Deadpool and Wolverine running for president is a move I never saw coming. But then again, it’s 2024. At this point, we’re just waiting for a talking dog to run.”

The Trump campaign had no comment, but the former President wrote on social media about the it. On Twitter the former President wrote “Deadpool and Wolverine are just in it to ensure the woke left win the Presidential election, they’ll have all the fake news give them more attention than me! I could shoot Wolverine with an adamantium bullet on fifth avenue, and I won’t lose any votes.”

Wolverine responded on Twitter “Let’s fuckin go orange Hitler” with a picture of himself with his middle claw extended.

Their campaign ad strategy is as unorthodox as their platform as they made a last-minute push in all states. Deadpool’s ads featured him dressed as a farmer with a timelapse image of growing crops before breaking the fourth wall with stories of his dad farming. Wolverine’s ads consisted of him growling into the camera while slicing off the heads of healthcare lobbyists, followed by a shot of him cracking open a Heineken and glaring at the viewer.

Their rallies have turned into a blend of stand-up comedy and action-packed performance art, captivating audiences nationwide. While critics dismissed their campaign, polls suggest that many Americans are ready for a change. In national polls their campaign has surged to 33% just five points behind Harriz-Walz, and four points ahead of Trump-Vance.

This dynamic duo has garnered a wide coalition from young voters disillusioned with traditional candidates and older voters curious about the unconventional approach. The campaign touted their endorsements from Joe Rogan, Cardi B, Killer Mike, and Spiderman. Whether they win the race or not, one thing is clear: Deadpool and Wolverine are redefining what it means to run for president in the most entertaining way possible. With hours left until polls close, it’s up to the voters to decide between a convicted felon, a prosecutor, or two Marvel characters.
